The client wanted a poster that must reflect the theme “Restoring the African American Oral Tradition,” which includes but is not limited to storytelling and folklore that passes along news, voices aspirations and experiences, preserves genealogy, and teaches life lessons.

The client also wanted originality, creativity, and the development of the contest theme. Art evaluation will focus on media use and basic principles of design.
